NYC 2011 Marathon

I am running it.  It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a few years now.  And now I’m actually going to do it.  It’s still kind of crazy to me!

Aside from the challenge of running 26.2 miles I’ve also challenged myself to raise money for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.  As you know, when I set a goal for myself  I’m not hesitant about reaching it (see moving to another country, becoming a librarian, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, etc).

I will try to track my training progress on the blog from time to time.   And I hope that you will consider making a donation towards my goal and towards the important work of Sloan-Kettering.  Please see my personal page for more on why I have chosen this cause:

And for all of you New Yorkers- I hope to see you out there on November 6th!
